Class Library

The purpose of this section is to make it easy for you to read with the aid of some audio books. Reading is the first step on the way to learning a language.
You will also be able to follow the different deadlines in terms of book reading.

Reading is the very first step in any language learning process
In this section I will be establishing some deadlines that will mark the start and end of the different books we should be enjoying along this year.
Since enjoying is the ultimate purpose of reading, I won't be setting a particular book; the choice of books you read will be entirely up to you. In order to make it easier for you to read, we´ll have a class library, and all you have to do  to benefit from it is to have a book (preferably an audio book) that you are willing to exchange with your class mates. You will be your own librarian, so you'll have to keep track of the person you lent your book to.

Now and then we'll hold an activity related to the last book we read.

X (Audio) book  deadline: We shall start our  (audio) book on the week of 17th and have it finished by  the week of the week of the 7th of November , when we'll bring our books to class in order to hold our class exchange.

Remember the EOI library is an excellent place to borrow books. All you need is your EOI student's card. Please check its opening times down here:

     1st (Audio) book  deadline:
Recommended steps when "reading" an audio book:
1) Listen to the CD (Check how much you can understand at this first stage).
2) Read the book.
3) Listen to the CD again and contrast your level of understanding with that of step 1.
4) Finally, listen and read at the same time; you can now contrast the written word with its pronunciation.
This document should be downloaded, printed and filled in every time you finish reading a book.
